Relentless, Razor-Sharp, and Built for Action Fans

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you like your thrillers fast, gritty, and just a little bit dangerous, The Terminal List by Jack Carr delivers the goods.

Navy SEAL James Reece returns home after a disastrous mission that wipes out his entire team. Soon after, tragedy strikes again—this time much closer to home. When the official explanations don’t add up, Reece starts digging, and what he uncovers sets him on a path that’s equal parts investigation and vengeance. What follows is a tightly wound, high-stakes hunt that doesn’t let up.

Carr’s background as a former SEAL shows in every detail. The action feels real, the tactics are sharp, and the pacing hits that sweet spot between methodical and explosive. And to think this was Carr’s debut… WOW! But what really makes this book stick is Reece himself. He’s not a slick, untouchable hero—he’s grieving, driven, and sometimes walking a fine line between justice and obsession.

Yes, it leans hard into the revenge angle—but it does so with conviction. The result is a story that’s both intense and satisfying, especially if you enjoy thrillers where the stakes feel personal.

I can’t wait to start watching the TV series, The Terminal List, but first I plan to read a couple more installments in the series—because I’m not quite ready to be done with James Reece just yet.

Bottom line: This one’s a page-turner with teeth. Fans of military and political thrillers should clear their schedule—you’ll want to finish it in one sitting.
